hey yall

my name's Mint and i'm new to DW but the tumblr OPM roleplay community encouraged me to join here. i have experience roleplaying on tumblr, IM, and the olden days of proboards forums, but i'm pretty unfamiliar with this platform and it's a big undertaking for me

i will try to follow by example but if i do something stupid or rude i don't mean to i promise hahah

i'm probably just your demographically-average roleplayer, here to meet people and have fun and try out a new place. tumblr takes itself so seriously and i'm liking that 'threads' happen in comments here instead of up on blogs where it's so in-your-face...

i write Saitama and Sonic on tumblr and Skype but i figured i'd try out making an account for above-pictured yankii piece of shit -- i haven't written him much but he's always a fun time and this community already seems to have really awesome active Saitama and Sonic roleplayers, not that i'm trying to imply anyone else who writes MB isn't also great

Nice to meet you! My name's Tess o/ I'm new to the fandom and I'm bringing in this loser right here. I'm hoping with enough ass whoopin's he can evolve into an ultra shiny trashlord.

If Garou gets out of hand, please feel free to beat him into the pavement. He's resilient enough for it. He's also early-canon so he'll be relatively spoiler free. If you have any concerns, just send a PM my way! I'll do my best to keep the fight-picking to a minimum, tho I won't lie I love ridiculous DBZ fights/sparring with no clear victor so if you're ever looking for some stress relief Garou won't keep you waiting.

Anyway, I'm super excited to find an active DR again (the last one I played in was the DGMDR ages ago sob). I'm really looking forward to interacting with everyone here!! o7 N-Now I just need to make more icons...

*whispers* I just bought 250 icon slots because fuck it, but I have 280 icons of Sonic currently made, and I haven't even taken screencaps of the OVA yet, do you see my problem?

*touches Sonic's face* My husband is far too beautiful, and I don't know which icons to upload and which will get the chop. Do I make the uploaded icons anime only? Manga only? What about his short hair? The 33 icons I have made are pretty much all the official art there is for the short hair, but that's the hairstyle I picture him having in the Dressing Room. Since. You know. If you take him from before Genos's incredibly rude haircut, you don't get that really cool fight and stuff.

*lays here and stares at the ceiling* I feel like I'm thinking too hard about this, but that is the kind of fussy individual I am. Anyway, I hope everyone's had a good weekend. I am super sore from running around the woods with a boffer weapon, trying to corral a group of 30 or so adventurers because I decided I was in charge of the treant-hybrids and I was going to wrangle them come hell or high water.

For the Genos-meeting thread, please track the post - I will be mostly posting comments to the page, rather than replying individually. This way everyone can mingle easier and I don't have to repeat myself XD Hope that makes sense.

Cast List Updates and stuff

OKAY SO. You may have noticed that I have cross-posted the Cast List, and that is because Alma suggested it AGES ago when I first put it together, but it slipped mind because that ended up being right before a Convention weekend. I didn't JUST remember it, but I did make some updates, so I thought I'd bring it over. FURTHERMORE, you may notice that I've made it a forward dated post. That's because I think it may be more useful there for new people, and so that none of us have to go digging if we ever want to check it. I lied, apparently I can't sticky things OH WELL. If you are new to the Dressing Room and want to be added to the list, please feel free to leave a comment! I don't care if you haven't actually posted yet, you can use that post as a way to introduce yourself and jump in! We are friendly, we don't bite (well, I do, but only with permission, and not where it shows), and we want to play with you! 8D 8D 8D

I'm also making this update post regarding it here, instead of chatting on the player's list in order to keep it nice and official like. I thought this stuff through a little more this time. *thumbs up*

One final thing you may notice about our wonderful cast list is that I added an Out of Canon/Original Character category. This is because these kinds of characters are absolutely allowed, and personally speaking, I have at least one OC I want to bring here. You can see that I've already added his journal to the list. He's probably my oldest active OC muse at almost five years old, so I hope you like him. I'm throwing an intro post for him up sometime tomorrow (Friday) that will involve a giant spider rampaging through H City.

How is my driving?

Sometimes, we want a little a feedback on how we are playing our characters, perhaps the character's voice has been slipping or we've done a canon update and want to know how it is going! This is your opportunity to ask for feedback and to help other players out. It is completely voluntary!

Now we know that people are worried that this will cause negative emotions and hurt, so we've put some rules in place:

* Give critique, and do not leave nasty comments. For example:

Good I really enjoy writing with you and I think you have your characters down perfectly. Sometimes I find your posts a little hard to read because there are no breaks and would find it easier to read if the tag was broken up into paragraphs. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

* Remember the critique can be positive and you can people what they are doing well with the their characters!

Hiiiiii guys, it's Alma. I'm still getting set up, but here's a nasty bastard AU Genos from the future - you asked for yandere, you're gonna get it. Basic premise is that Saitama is dead in his timeline and it's his fault somehow, so he's going to every timeline he can to off every Genos in order to let Saitama live. Also, there's some fuckery about him being the cyborg who went mad and destroyed his city - his memories of family are false. Oops.
